What IS "Working Phase?"

Nov 14, 2024

Working phase is a newsletter to help, encourage, celebrate, support, and share news between aspiring great therapists of all types. This is a place to sneak a peek at what therapists are doing and saying behind the scenes. It is always free to subscribers. Really! All you have to do is subscribe and there's no charge.

Working Phase is also the shiny new upgrade for an email-only project that started in 2020, originally called The Community Mental Health Survival Guide.

That project was started as a way to support frontline therapists in high stress settings. Make the job easier, give encouragement, help prelicensed therapists make it to licensure, reduce burnout.

But the title was a mouthful and after about 2 years, people started to ask: "How can I see the old emails?"

When I launched, I wasn't even thinking of that! I just wanted to make a helpful thing for the therapists I care about!

So, here, in our new home, it will be easy to find that one thing you're looking for when you need it.

And just like the working phase in therapy covers all the middle sessions where client's are in that messy middle, trying to get to their goals, "Working Phase," is about handling all that messy stuff in a therapy career between college and retirement.

Broad, I know.

I'm so glad you made the move with us, just found us, or are otherwise here with us now.

If you're a therapist, this newsletter is for you, regardless of your income (or student loan debt). If you've read and benefited, that's all I need! If you'd like to further support the project:

1) Subscribe! This gets the email right to your inbox as soon as it's ready.

2) Share with your therapy buddies!

3) Reply to the newsletter with your questions or your pitch for guest post!

4) If you have a little pocket change, become a supporter, 1x donations and recurring supporters are welcome!

I'm excited to see what happens next. Thanks for choosing to help others. In times like these, your courage shows.
