Embrace Collaboration at Work and at Home!

  • Andreana

In 2025, we're over the expectation that therapists and therapy should fix everything, right?

Burnout is such a nasty catch-22 because it will convince you that your efforts make no difference...

...But it will also convince you that you have to figure everything out yourself.

Add to that the isolation of the therapeutic environment, and there you are, pulling your hair out trying to reinvent the wheel in your office, and then again when you get home.

Collaborative care exists for a reason. It can bring creative solutions and reduce the pressure on any one provider to solve every problem.

This keeps us humble and reminds us that we don't have to be superhuman.

Embrace the opportunity to work with coaches, sponsors, doctors, parents, and teachers, etc. It could make the difference between repetitive sessions that go nowhere and dynamic growth in your client.

And once you receive support in your own home, you'll remember that just because you are a therapist, you don't have to be your own therapist.

I asked Ashley Glenn Nance, a coach for families in crisis at ReVoice Communication, to give us as therapists some ideas for handling the stress of parenting.

Ashley wrote a free guide for us, and then she kept going (🤯) and created a special offer just for Working Phase readers: A FREE 45=minute strategy session.

If you're parenting a child who doesn't communicate the way others expect, if the mom-rage or dad-resentment keeps popping up at home, or if you work with families with significant struggles, just tap into Ashley's 15+ years of expertise and get this straightforward, 3-step guide, and then get on her calendar.

You don't have to do it all yourself.
