Continuing Education Credit. 30 Units. Free. Just for Taking Care of Yourself.
- Andreana
What kind of self-care is supposed to overcome not just our own stress, but the accumulated stress of our clients? In 2026?
Well, I know I’m on a mission to figure out how to help us prioritize our professional selves.
Your Professional Self is the self that needs to be prepared, calm, and open-hearted with your clients.
Your Professional Self needs to handle the insufficient pay, insufficient resources, distractions, conflicting responsibilities, and time constraints of most mental health environments.
Your Professional Self is not buying the advice to “lock in”, “lean in”, “diversify,” or “use AI”, because it knows better. It knows that at this point, our field is under attack, and the solutions it has found is to just squeeze us harder.
I’ve been sneakily researching and building something just for your Professional Self behind the scenes. I wish I could say it's ready yet, but it's not.
But the more I look for solutions, the more I find other people who are doing the same.
Like Soni!
Soni's working on what I can best describe as “a short-cut to help you stay grounded and focused in session.”
It's so much more than that, and I'll link her website below.
Will this solve the therapy industry? No.
Will it help you actually deliver the therapy you say you do to your client? Yes.
And when your client can feel how present, prepared, and competent you are, they tell their friends about you.
When you’re brave enough to ask something difficult of your client, your treatment plan doesn’t stall out.
When you don’t have to scrape out a crappy note because you were fully in command of the session, your supervisor stops worrying about you.
An army full of therapists who can make our whole profession look good? Well that’s going to do a helluva lot to remind people we’re irreplaceable.

I’ve enrolled as a participant but I'm otherwise not affiliated. Ya girl just loves a little research project.
